GEMS-U has a blast!
Shuttle Launch Experience at the Space Center was so exciting! We flew in a shuttle simulator that allowed us to feel what the astronauts feel like when they are launching. We listened to a real astronaut as he told of what being in space is like. We watched an IMAX movie about the Hubble Telescope. And the rockets, they are huge! A very exciting part of the day was going to the observation tower to see launch pad 39A where Discovery is patiently waiting to be launched to the International Space Station. Will it happen?? It has been delayed two times so far just this week!
